Frequently Asked Questions and General Information

How Can I Make An Appointment?

You can call the office line (Back To Total Health) or call/text my line directly. Please be patient and make sure to leave a message if no one answers. Visit the Contact page for additional information.

No One Answered or I Am Not Getting A Reply Back?!

Dont panick. If you sent a text and have not receieved a reply, I may not have received it. Try again or please just call... you may have to leave a voice massage so I can get ahold of you. The clinic is in a deadzone area and it also gives us issues with the WiFi... There are multiple ways to get ahold of me. Take in mind it could be a few hours for a response if you are trying to contact me directly as I could be in a session. The clinic phone number could be quicker although they could be away from the desk helping clients. It is a busy clinic and we do our best to get back to everyone as soon as we are able to as long as we have a way to get back to you. Clearly leave your name and number.

How Can I Book Online?

Not currently (and not in foreseeable future). We like person to person connection even though it leaves me busy and not able to get back to you right away. Because the clinic also has the ability to book me there is not a dual booking software that allows easy booking online and for it to transfer to calendars or booking softwares, there could be a lot of double bookings and that is no fun for anyone.

I(YOU, the Client) Work Late or A Lot...(How) Is It Possible to Get a Later Appointment?

Great question. I typically have evening commitments, however, I can occasionally accomodate to make arrangements for those that work late, have kids schedules, that type of thing. Just bring it up otherwise you will get the typical 10-5ish scheduling.

How Do I Get a Same Day Appointment?
By luck... maybe a sacrafice...The rare cancelation or no show. Yes, spontaneity is all fun and all but often I'm booked in advance. Shorter appointments can possibly be fit in; cupping and or neurostim are easier to book last minute.

Why Don't You Do Out Calls (Anymore)?

My transportation may not allow for the transit of materials needed. The clinic provides a space that has everything available. Also, working conditions are more favourable AND the table is much more comfortable. Plus there are additional enhancements available in the clinic that I do not travel with.

What are the Hours?

The clinic’s typical hours are 10:30 a.m.–5:00 p.m.

  • Summer: Monday–Thursday (Fridays or Saturdays not gauranteed)

  • Season: Monday–Thursday ; Select Fridays and Saturdays.

My schedule may vary slightly from the clinic’s hours. Because we work by appointment, we may not be onsite when nothing is scheduled or leave early after last appointment. Please leave a message with your name, number, and the service you’re interested in.
5 pm is the last available booking when available.

Why Can't I Pay the Front Desk for Your Services?
I am an independent practitioner within the clinic, not an employee (Our services compliment each other). Payments for my services must therefore be made directly to me, even when we are standing at the front desk.

I currently accept Cash, Zelle, Venmo, and Cash App. Cards are not currently accepted, and the clinic cannot process a card payment for me.
If you had a treatment done with the clinic and a session with me , you would have to make seperate payments.

Other Charges and Fees? Deposits, Cancelations, No-Shows.

Fridays and Saturdays require a $50 non refundable deposit. This goes towards your completed service. You can reschedule 24 hours before your appointment one time to keep deposit otherwise it is forfeited.

What Happens if I am Running Late?

Life happens, please let me know as soon as possible. Depending on how late you arrive, I may still be able to provide your session, although the treatment may need to be adjusted.

Do I Take My Clothes Off?

Only to your level of comfort. Please wait until I have left the room before undressing, then position yourself beneath the sheet as directed. Professional draping is maintained throughout the session as per state laws and regulations. I am capable of complex draping for mixed modalities.

Clothing typically creates a no-go boundary in some sessions. Clothed areas can be treated through the fabric otherwise is normally to be avoided (I'll ask to verify your preference). I will make every effort to protect your clothing, but oils or other products may occasionally transfer onto fabric, I am not liable for damages to clothing. Some services are better performed with clothing on.

Is it the Full Alloted Minute Massage?

Yes—my goal is to provide the full scheduled service time as hands-on treatment.

A necessary intake or assessment may occasionally require a few additional minutes, especially during a first appointment or when addressing a more complex concern. Please don’t rush through this part; it makes the session safer, more focused and effective. I build a buffer time between appointments whenever possible.

Take me Through the Process, What Can I Expect?

When you arrive, you can check in with the front desk or take a seat. Please fill out the intake form. Initial one is longer then a shorter return client form. After a duration of 3-4 months of not having an appointment the initial form will be required again. I'll greet you and we will walk back to the treatment room.

We’ll go over the intake to discuss your concerns, discomfort, goals, and the best approach for your session. Discuss beginning face-up or face-down and step out while you get comfortable beneath the sheet.

I’ll knock before reentering and make any needed adjustments to the face cradle, bolsters, temperature, or positioning before we begin.
If you need to use the restroom mid way through the session, no issue, there are garmets available for quicker dressing to preserve the required modesty when walking to the restroom.

What Happens During an Instrument Assisted Massage like Cupping or Neurostim Treatments?

Before using an instrument or device, I’ll explain what it does and demonstrate the sensation so you know what to expect.

Different areas of the body may respond differently, I’ll check in with you and adjust the treatment as needed. You can ask questions or tell me if something doesn’t feel right.

Can We Talk During the Session?

Absolutely. Some clients enjoy talk therapy too, while others prefer to come quiet and completely relax. I generally follow your lead and speak mainly to check your comfort or guide you through breathing, movement, muscle testing, or advanced stretching. Either way, I will remind you to breathe.

What About Discounts?
Keep in mind, I don't have a friends and family discount because they are the ones that pay me the most as they want to see me succeed.
There is 10% for firefighters, EMTs, police, active military and veterans and 10% off if you are a member of the gym I go to and 15% off if we are workout buddies. I typically will discount servies for those that send referrals my way that book.

Packages and How They Work.

Packages are designed to encourage consistent care/treatment. Four-session packages should be completed within six months of purchase, and seven-session packages within nine months. Package pricing and session benefits are guaranteed during that period. After the recommended use period, any unused paid value remains available as account credit and may be applied toward services at current rates. Paid value does not expire. Packages are nontransferable and remain subject to the cancellation and no-show policy. You may give session(s) to someone else. Inform from who and to who.

Am I More Energy or Scientific/Clinically/Anatomically Focused?

Honestly, it’s a strong blend of both, hence my opening "Opposites in Tandem".  My work is grounded in anatomy, physiology, and observable responses involving movement, tissue, pain patterns, and the nervous system. At the same time, I don’t view science, energy, and traditional healing practices as automatic opposites.

Many bodywork systems developed through generations of observation long before modern technology could examine how or why they worked. My approach draws from Thai bodywork, cupping and meridian concepts (acupuncture), Hawaiian LomiLomi and Polynesian influences, South American traditions that view healing as transformation, and Modern Clinical understanding.

You don’t need to follow any particular belief system but if you prefer an entirely anatomical and clinical session, we can stay there. If energetic intention or traditional perspectives resonate with you, I can incorporate those as well. Most often, I blend them according to the person, the concern, and what feels most useful on that day. Normally you will just think "wow, what an amazing massage!"

Massage and bodywork education is far more anatomically detailed than many people realize. I hope the profession earns the recognition and respect it (desperately) deserves.
